Marik Ishtar is a character in Yu-Gi-Oh!, borrowed into fanfictions, often by TheRealBakura. He made his first appearance in TenderShipping and has been seen frequently since.

TenderShipping

Marik is seen as living with Bakura. He is often on Ryou's side on his end of the relationship with Bakura and was trying to end the conflict between the two. Near the end of the story, Bakura mentions that Marik is ill, and Teddy steals his motorbike to visit him.

By the end of the story, Teddy is dead from childbirth with Ryou and Bakura's current child, Aria. Marik notably walks and swims from Egypt to Japan to get to the Bakura home and ask for help. After fainting in Bakura's arms, he is carried in, with Bakura saying he will gt help for him.

Game Night

Marik is one of the five villains present at Game Night. He is seen as one of the least intimidating and easily persuaded villains and is also seen as a person who has difficulty understanding things that he has just come into.

One of the other people present at Game Night is an unnamed Rare Hunter Girl. This helps establish the timeline for Game Night.

Let Me Fall

Marik is both the roommate and younger brother of Malik (Yami Marik). Despite being younger, Marik is shown to be powerful and in control of Malik and everything that goes on around him, telling him what to do and saying that he is wrong in most situations.

Along with being one of the two deliverers of Baby Akefia, Marik is also mentioned in Bakura's will as getting the stuff that Akefia does not want from his house.
