Atem - The young prince of Egypt and heir to the throne as his father's successor. He is a very lonely child because nobody outside of his family treats him as the little boy he is until he meets Mana by accidently running into her while escaping his teachers
Mana - Mana is taken under the wing of Mahad and his mother, becoming an apprentice magician but a year after living at the palace, she's realized that there are no people close to her age to play with until she accidentally runs into Atem. She doesn't realize that he's the prince when she first meets him and drags him off to go look at the giant plum tree in the inner courtyard.
